Leon Draisaitl and Reid Gardiner did the heavy lifting for the Prince Albert Raiders against the Vancouver Giants. Draisaitl and Gardiner both scored in regulation and the shootout as Prince Albert slipped past Vancouver 4-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action. Gardiner had a short-handed goal in the second period for the Raiders (6-2-0), just a minute and a half after Draisaitls power-play goal. Gardiner also had an assist, while Draisaitl had two. Lance Yaremchuk had Prince Alberts third unanswered goal at the 7:05 mark of the third period to force overtime. Ty Ronning, Tim Traber and Jackson Houck built a 3-0 lead for the Giants (1-5-1) in the first period. Jared Rathjen stopped 38 shots in net.
